God is the Rock

Good Morning!

For I was envious of the arrogant as I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the rock and strength of my heart and my portion forever.  -Psalms 73:3, 26

This is a little unconventional as I normally don’t pick two verses so far apart from each other but Psalms 73 is good contrast between righteousness and wickedness and I felt like this was a good snapshot of it. There are times that we see people that don’t live righteously at all and even blasphemy God in their lives yet are extremely prosperous. It may seem like it isn’t fair and we feel like in no way should that be the case. But when we make God our Rock in life there is no replacement for it, there is no amount of money that can buy the peace that having that relationship with God brings, there is no amount of fame that can bring the fulfillment that God brings into your life if He is front and center in your life. Instead of focusing what someone else has versus what we have in material things, let’s focus on what we have spiritually that can only be had with a relationship with God and if possible please read Psalms 73.

“Often the wicked prosper, while the righteous starve; yet I would never exchange my state for theirs, my virtue for their gold. For mine endures, while riches change their owner every day.”  -Solon

“The wicked may prosper for a time, but they will never find true peace.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

Got a parking ticket the other day for being parked illegally. Not sure why. The sign clearly said, “Fine for Parking.”

Have a great Tuesday!
