Comfort

Good Morning!

Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.  -2 Corinthians 1:3-4

We are to pass on to others the comfort that we receive from God. We should not hoard within ourselves what God has given us. God designed us to be His hands and feet, meaning that we go out and pass along the blessing we have received from Him. The struggle that we sometimes have is that we are trying to pass on what we may not have. We think that the right thing to do is to go do the physical things that we have seen others do and while there is a blessing in that it is really hard to pass on to others what you do not have. We first have to actually receive and experience the mercies, the comforts, and the encouragements from God before we are truly equipped to go pass it on to others. We also have to continually seek relationship with God to continue to receive those as it is not a one and done. What is standing in your way to fully receive the mercy, comfort, and encouragement that God has for you? And if you have all those things, what is your next move in passing those on to others?

Dad Joke of the Day:

My Visa card was declined at the sweater store, so the cashier had to ask for my cardigan.

Have a great Thursday!
