Wait for the Lord

Good Morning!

We wait [expectantly] for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.  -Psalms 33:20

This is always a good reminder for me. Too many times we try to do everything on our own instead of realizing that God is there to help us and protect us. When we allow ourselves to succumb to Him we are granted His protection and help. Another thing that we need to practice that is so hard to do is patience, too often we get impatient and we tend to force something. God’s help will come in God’s timing and it will be in the best timing, if we can realize that and just rest under His shield it takes a lot of pressure off of us. That is what God wants, He wants to carry your burden, your worry, your stress. He did not design us to carry all that, He designed us to worship Him and get fulfillment out of life.

“Waiting on the Lord is a confident, disciplined, expectant, active, sometimes painful clinging to God.”  -John Ortberg Jr.

“The ultimate ground of faith and knowledge is confidence in God.”  -Charles Hodge

Dad Joke of the Day:

What is a four letter word with a small laugh in the middle.

It really is.

Have a great Friday!
