Be Spiritually Diligent

Good Morning!

The soul (appetite) of the lazy person craves and gets nothing [for lethargy overcomes ambition], but the soul (appetite) of the diligent [who works willingly] is rich and abundantly supplied.  -Proverbs 13:4

It is pretty common knowledge that someone that works hard and is diligent in their career will receive a steady paycheck and, in most circumstances, will benefit from it financially as well as feeling good about what they are doing. Someone that is lazy and doesn’t want to put the work and effort into anything often is miserable and broke. Now what if we applied that to our spiritual life? If we are diligent in our faith, studying the Bible and living it out, and have a deep, meaningful relationship with God we will have fulfillment and we will be richly blessed. If we are lazy in our spiritual life and we don’t spend a lot of time even thinking about God, we don’t spend any time in the Bible or in prayer, there is a lot that we are leaving on the table not to mention we don’t have a healthy way of mentally processing life. We can make our life here on earth a life of fulfillment if we choose to. The crazy thing of it is, oftentimes our hard-working nature in our careers is the reason why we don’t take the time to be hard-working in our spiritual life. If we take the time to be diligent in our relationship with God it will carry over into being a blessing in our careers. Let’s make God the true #1 in our lives. Believe it, live it, spread it.

Dad Joke of the Day:

Husband: How much would it cost to buy a singing ensemble?

Wife: You mean “a choir”

Husband: Fine, how much to acquire a singing ensemble?

Have a great Monday!
