Good Morning!
Therefore do not be foolish and thoughtless, but understand and firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is. -Ephesians 5:17
Ephesians chapter 5 is subtitled in some Bibles as “Be Imitators of Christ” and I would encourage you to read the whole chapter. It covers a lot of how we should be imitators of Christ. Part of that is the above verse where it tells us to not be foolish but understand what the will of God is. There are a lot of things that pop up in today’s world, as I am sure it has throughout history, where there isn’t a specific answer in the Bible if it is considered something that we should or shouldn’t do as followers of Christ. The Bible is not a buffet where you can just go through and pick and choose what you want to apply and what you want to ignore. It is also not the best idea to pick one verse in the Bible and hang your whole doctrine on it. When the Bible is taken as a whole and we take the whole picture into account we can often discern if something aligns with God or not. In order to know the Bible we have to spent time in it, I encourage you to pick some time every day to read and study the Bible. It might not be a lot of time at first but consistency is key and through consistency is where we change our world. Let’s be the change.
“Be not troubled about those who are with your or against you, but take care that God be with you in everything you do.”
“The world never gives to you, but always puts you in debt. God alone gives.”
