Good Morning!
An angry man stirs up strife, and a hot-tempered and undisciplined man commits many transgressions. -Proverbs 29:22
Someone that is always angry or gets angry easily tends to put everyone around them on edge. Most of the time when there is an angry person, people around them tend to respond with anger as well because anger creates defensiveness towards whoever the anger is directed towards. Often times we get angry because of what they are telling ourselves, we allow something to fester in our minds where it turns to anger and then we take it out on the people around us thinking somehow that they are the cause of it. The problem with anger is once you get to the point where you are displaying it, it takes a lot to subside it even if you know that you are in the wrong, because then oftentimes our pride gets in the way and we don’t allow ourselves to back away from it. Once started it can almost be like an addiction and the only way to break it is through Christ. Once the enemy knows what buttons to push he will do all he can to bring the anger to the surface because he knows that through anger is when words are said that can not be taken back. Do not let the enemy win, but don’t just suppress it either, go to Jesus and let Him take care of it.
“Anger doesn’t solve anything. It builds nothing, but it can destroy everything.” -Lawrence Douglas Wilder
“Anger is like a flame blazing up and consuming our self-control, making us think, say, and do things that we will probably regret later.” -Nhat Hanh
