Ephesians 4:15-16

Good Morning!

But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ. From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up in [unselfish] love.  -Ephesians 4:15-16

When we work together as the body of Christ we will continue to mature and grow, not only as a church but out into the world and the impact that we can have on the world. When we are fighting among ourselves we are not a healthy church and not only that, the image we put out into the world with us bickering amongst ourselves does not look like something anyone wants to be a part of. When we are operating in love towards each other and choosing not to be offended over every little thing we will stand out in the world and therefore will draw people towards us. This does not mean we need to be all inclusive in what we believe but there are healthy ways to work things out. If you think of a healthy body, the way it stays healthy is being purposeful with what you ingest and then how you exercise (outreach) as a body…the body of Christ is no different.

“God is not calling us to go to church; He is calling us to be His church, the hope of the world.”

“Healthy Christians are committed to the gospel and healthy churches are filled with champions of the gospel.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

This morning I tripped over a box of Kleenex and I thought I injured myself, but not to worry, it’s just some tissue damage.

Have a great Tuesday!
