Gifts from God

Good Morning!

For to everyone who has [and values his blessings and gifts from God, and has used them wisely], more will be given, and [he will be richly supplied so that] he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have [because he has ignored or disregarded his blessings and gifts from God], even what he does have will be taken away.  -Matthew 25:29

The more time we spend with God the more God will show up in our lives. The more we draw to Him the more He draws to us. This does not mean that life will not be hard and that we are protected from anything heartbreaking or pain, but it does mean that we have a God that wants to comfort us through whatever we are dealing with. He wants to celebrate the wins with us and weep the sorrows with us. He wants us to be dependent on Him, He wants us to be led by Him. On Sunday our pastor challenged us on if we ask the Holy Spirit to be with us or if we ask the Holy Spirit to lead us? If we ask Him to be with us we are still leading, we just want Him with us; if we ask Him to lead us we are looking to Him for direction and following where He wants us to go. That has changed my prayers and I hope it changes yours as well. Don’t squander the gifts that God has given you, use them and let God multiply them within you.

Dad Joke of the Day:

Johnny: I put a dartboard on my ceiling.

Timmy: That sounds impractical.

Johnny: It was. It made me throw up.

Have a great Wednesday!
