Romans 10:12

For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer].  -Romans 10:12

Here again, we have verse that says that we are all equal in the eyes of God. We all have the same access to God no matter our background, no matter our history, no matter where we are today. If we call on God, we repent of our sins, and put our faith in Him, then we are not regarded differently in the eyes of God than anyone else. Too many times we think that everyone’s path of salvation needs to look a certain way, maybe the same way ours was or the way that we are used to seeing in our culture that we are in, and if we see someone that takes a different path or came from a different culture we might tend to doubt the sincerity of it. Recently there was a famous actor that got saved and got baptized and seeing it on social media there was just as many people (Christians) tearing it apart as there was celebrating it. Our fruit, the way we live our lives, will often be under scrutiny no matter what, but we need to keep our focus on God and follow His lead, and celebrate the brothers and sisters that join us in faith. We have to remember that when someone gets saved and baptized, that is the beginning of their faith journey, not the end to where they have it all figured out.
