Healing and Crushing Speech

Good Morning!

A soothing tongue [speaking words that build up and encourage] is a tree of life, but a perversive tongue [speaking words that overwhelm and depress] crushes the spirit.  -Proverbs 15:4

We all know those people that you talk to and you walk away encouraged and uplifted. Life just seems better after talking to these people, they have a way of bringing out a perspective that is optimistic, and you can just feel God’s love through such a person. Those people speak life and it is evident in their life and outlook. Then, we all also know people that are always negative and no matter what kind of day they are having it seems to be a bad day. Walking away from them you feel beat down and your outlook is overcast and life in general seems a little more miserable. The way the verse describes it is so dead on, the encouragement is a tree of life, but the negativity crushes the spirit. Which outlook will you choose today? Is your tendency to be negative, if so what steps can be taken to shift that towards positivity? Change your thinking, change your life.

“A negative thinking sees a difficulty in every opportunity. A positive thinker sees an opportunity in every difficulty.”

“I would rather be ‘annoyingly’ positive and optimistic than destructively negative and hateful.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

I love going outdoors.

It’s much safer than going out windows.

Have a great Wednesday!
