See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek that which is good for one another and for all people.  -1 Thessalonians 5:15

How easy it is to retaliate when we are wronged, our flesh wants to get even when we are mistreated. That is what Satan wants us to do, retaliate, get even, teach them a lesson, and make sure they know not to mess with us. It does absolutely no good to bring darkness to a dark room in order to see, instead you need to fight darkness with light. Same is true for evil, when we try to fight evil with evil we are trying to chase darkness with more darkness. If you bring darkness to dark it is still dark, but if you add light to light it gets brighter. Light will always have power over darkness because darkness is lack of light, the same is true for God’s goodness, It will always have power over Satan’s evil and if we hold that truth and goodness we have power over that evil. Today I encourage you to be the light, there is way more power in that than the trying to repay evil with evil.
