Pleasant Words

Good Morning!

Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweet and delightful to the soul and healing to the body.  -Proverbs 16:24

All too often we forget the punch that our words can carry, good or bad. When we genuinely build people up with words as they are as described in the verse above, they are sweet to the soul and healing to the body. We can tear people down or we can build them up and I suggest the latter as it does no good tearing anyone down. Does this mean we can never have hard conversations with people? No, it just means our way of having those hard conversations should still be done in a loving and non-condescending way. The right people giving encouragement can change someone’s life; our words have weight, and we need to weigh them before releasing them.

“One kind word can change someone’s entire day.”

“Kind words and good deeds are eternal. You never know where their influence will end.”  -H. Jackson Brown Jr.

Dad Joke of the Day:

What’s the difference between bird flu and swine flu?

One requires tweetment and the other requires oinkment.

Have a great Tuesday!
