Good Morning!
Let the [spoken] word of Christ have its home within you [dwelling in your heart and mind—permeating every aspect of your being] as you teach [spiritual things] and admonish and train one another with all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. -Colossians 3:16
It is hard to walk out our faith in God if the Word of God is not a part of our lives. The above verse spells it out in such a beautiful way, that it should have its home in us, permeating every aspect of our being to where it almost just oozes out of us. The more you take it in, reading the Bible, the more your hunger for it will increase and to where you get to the point you long to get into it. It is different than any other book in that just reading it once is not enough but only the beginning. The Bible is so multi-faceted that you can spend years in it and still find connections and truths that will prove even more that the Bible is God inspired beyond what we already know. Through it we can be comforted by God, joy that is God inspired, inspiration that is God driven, direction that is God given, and a relationship with God Himself.
“The primary purpose of reading the Bible is not know the Bible but to know God.” -James Merritt
“The phrase “do not be afraid” is written in the Bible 365 times. That’s a daily reminder from God to live every day being fearless.”
Dad Joke of the Day:
I’m going on a camping trip but I’m not happy with my travel insurance.
Apparently, if my tent blows away during the night I’ll no longer be covered.
Have a great Tuesday!
