Anger

Good Morning!

Be angry [at sin—at immorality, at injustice, at ungodly behavior], yet do not sin; do not let your anger [cause you shame, nor allow it to] last until the sun goes down.   -Ephesians 4:26

When injustice happens, we as Christians, should be bothered by it. The world has trained us that it doesn’t matter as long as it doesn’t affect us…… but it does matter. When injustice happens it goes against how God designed it and therefore it should bother us to the point that we should do something about it. But notice how it says ‘yet do not sin’; just because it bothers us and makes us angry doesn’t mean we should deal with it in the way that the world deals with it. We should deal with it in a Godly way and do what we can for justice without becoming unjust in the process. Notice also how it says to not let your anger last until the sun goes down; I believe this to mean that it should not consume our lives and we shouldn’t harbor anger for a long time. We should deal with it, do what we can about it, and not let it overtake our life. Holding a grudge at someone is letting your anger last past sundown.

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”  -Martin Luther King Jr.

“The key to understanding righteous anger is by knowing the motivation.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

People giving directions like “Head south.”

Listen Lewis and Clark, do I turn at the Chick-Fil-A or go towards Target?

Have a great Wednesday!
