Servant Leadership

Good Morning!

But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while [by taking on the limitations of humanity], crowned with glory and honor because of His suffering of death, so that by the grace of God [extended to sinners] He might experience death for [the sins of] everyone. -Hebrews 2:9

We hear about servant leadership a lot and if we need a perfect example to look off of we can look at Jesus. Not only did He do servant leadership perfectly, He gave up His godly privileges for each of us and suffered the worst death, all while completely innocent. Servant leadership is something we all can do no matter what our job is because we are all leaders in some sense, we don’t need the title of leadership to be a leader. Servant leaders take blame but give credit, lead the charge but eat last, and sees leadership as an opportunity to serve others. We were all put on this earth for a purpose and to make a difference, don’t squander that responsibility on yourself but instead go see the difference you can make in other’s lives. Go be Jesus to the people around you. Be a servant leader.

“Great leaders don’t set out to be a leader….they set out to make a difference. It’s never about the role, always about the goal.”

“Leadership looks a lot like loving people.”
