Inner Self

Good Morning!

Therefore we do not become discouraged [spiritless, disappointed, or afraid]. Though our outer self is [progressively] wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day by day.  -2 Corinthians 4:16

Most of us will hit our peak in our physical body somewhere around the age of 25 and then from there it slowly starts going the other way, depending on how well you take care of your body will determine how fast it will go backwards for most people. I know….that is kind of depressing. Now for the good part….every single day we have the opportunity to completely renew our inner self, our thoughts. Every day we have a choice to make on how we will choose to look at every situation that comes up. How we respond to someone is up to us no matter how they approach us, it is easy to escalate a situation but it is way more rewarding to de-escalate a situation. It is easy to have selfish thoughts but way more rewarding to have Godly thoughts. You can let the enemy influence your thoughts or you can lean on God and let Him help direct your thoughts, be intentional and lean on God. The amazing part of it all is that your thoughts have a bearing on your physical health, not only will eating right and getting exercise help keep you healthy but your thought life is just as important to keeping you physically healthy.

“Most of all, let the Word of God fill. You and renew your mind every day. When our minds are on Christ, Satan has little room to maneuver.”  -Billy Graham

“Thoughts have power; thoughts are energy. And you can make your world or break it by your own thinking.”  -Susan Taylor
