Practice

Good Morning!

The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you.  -Philippians 4:9

This was Paul telling the church of Philippi to look off of him as an example on how to act and live as well as what they had learned through Paul, while reminding them that God is the source of peace and well-being. While any person is not perfect and will mess up at some point, God uses people as examples, He speaks through people, He empowers people to further His Kingdom. We can be a person of God, we can be an example, we can put ourselves in positions that God can speak through us but we must always remember that God is the source and all those things would not be possible without God. We must also remember that when we look to someone as an example, recognizing what is from God and not seeing that person as a god but seeing God through that person. Always, no matter what, point your focus upwards toward Jesus.

“I have seen God do more in people’s lives during ten minutes of real prayer than in ten of my sermons.”  -Jim Cymbala

“Isn’t it amazing how God brings the right people into your life at the right time? People who support, love, and pray for you, regardless of your circumstances.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

I ordered candy the other day and they delivered the generic version. I was mad.

I mean who wants W&W’s?

Have a great Thursday!
