Armor of God Breakdown Series

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. -Ephesians 6:17

The head/mind is where satan attacks, spreading doubt, untruth, and all out lies. A helmet is meant to protect your head to where you are not vulnerable in that area. Your salvation is your helmet/protection from the enemy’s lies. Then the Word of God is the Bible and that is the weapon in which you fight the enemy with. The armor is all made to protect you and help you stand your ground, but the sword is your weapon in which to advance on the enemy. Through the Word of God we are not only able to fight off attacks, but we are also able to go out and spread the Gospel, the Good News, to people that haven’t experienced God and the peace that can be gained through Him. Our world needs the Gospel now more than ever, and now that we are fully armored, let us not be complacent but instead go and defeat the enemy!
