Patience & Serenity

Good Morning!

Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured. It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].  -1 Corinthians 13:4-7

We often hear that God is love. If you read through these verses and imagine this talking about Jesus, the description is spot on. We, as believers, are called to be like Jesus, so if we go through life practicing these characteristics can you imagine the fulfillment in life? Even if we would practice half of these characteristics we would have a more fulfilling life. Imagine if all married couples practiced this towards their spouse, how much more thriving marriages and how many less broken homes there would be. I encourage you to ponder at each one of these characteristics individually and to not skip over them. Go be the love.

“The best love is the kind that awakens our soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds.”

“Love is a language the blind can see and the deaf can hear.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

My wife asked me to prepare our 4 year old son for his first day of school.

So I stole his lunch.

Have a great Friday and an awesome weekend!!
