Good Morning!

Now He who has made us and prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the [Holy] Spirit as a pledge [a guarantee, a down payment on the fulfillment of His promise].  -2 Corinthians 5:5 AMP

God made us for a special purpose. Not one of us was created by mistake, not one of us was created without purpose. Often the struggle might be finding what that purpose is that we were created for. The awesome part is that God, who created us with purpose, also gave us the Holy Spirit to help us figure out what our purpose is and then also to help us fulfill that purpose. I love how the above verse points out that God gave us the Holy Spirit as a pledge or a down payment on the fulfillment of His promise. Personally I interpret the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives as just a glimpse of what is to come. If someone gives me a pledge or a down payment it doesn’t feel like they are going to hang me out to dry but instead will follow through on what they promised. Therefore we can have the assurance that if we step out in faith resulting from the nudging of the Holy Spirit we can know that God will follow through. What has the Holy Spirit been nudging you on that you have been hesitating from doing? God will come through…
