Good Morning!
Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) is able to accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. -James 5:16
Do we lean on our fellow Christians? When someone asks us to pray for them or for a situation, do we take the time to pray for that specific person or thing? There is a lot of power in prayer, and notice how it says heartfelt and persistent prayers are able to accomplish much. It is easy to say, “I will pray for you” but then taking the time and doing it with a heartfelt prayer takes discipline, then to go a little deeper…doing it persistently and checking back in with the person takes even more discipline. We all have the power of prayer through God inside of us, how willing are we to use it?
“It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without heart.”
“Every great movement of God can be traced to a kneeling figure.” -D.L. Moody
“To be a Christian without prayer is not more possible than to be alive without breathing.” -Martin Luther
Dad Joke of the Day:
I looked up opaque.
The definition wasn’t very clear.
Have a great Thursday!
