Gifts from God

Good Morning!

Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them accordingly: if [someone has the gift of] prophecy, [let him speak a new message from God to His people] in proportion to the faith possessed; if service, in the act of serving; or he who teaches, in the act of teaching; or he who encourages, in the act of encouragement; he who gives, with generosity; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy [in caring for others], with cheerfulness.  -Romans 12:6-8

We all have our own individual gifts that God has given us. Each of us have different life experiences and circumstances so even if you have the same gift as someone else it will look different than theirs does because of the people you are in contact with and the experiences and circumstances in which you have lived your life. Sometimes it is easy to compare to others and decide by that how our gift should be used. God has a unique plan for you and your gift, and He is the one you need to focus on, not your friend, neighbor, boss, pastor, etc. Don’t fall into the trap of comparison in this or anything because that will only take away from it. God wants you focused on Him and He will guide you in how to use your gift based on your circle of influence and experience that only you can. If you don’t know what your gift is just stay focused on God and ask Him to reveal it to you and He will.

“God gave each of us a gift, what we do with it is our gift back to God.”

“We are each given gifts of the Spirit; each person’s gifts are necessary in the church.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

Not only is my short term memory horrible, but so is my short term memory.

Have a great Friday and weekend!
