Therefore, believers, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you [be sure that your behavior reflects and confirms your relationship with God]; for by doing these things [actively developing these virtues], you will never stumble [in your spiritual growth and will live a life that leads others away from sin]. -2 Peter 1:10
What is our calling? It might not look exactly the same as anyone else’s as we are all in a unique situation due to the people we are surrounded with and the circumstances we grew up in. What you do, your actions and words, should reflect what God is calling you to do, therefore we need to focus on what God wants and not what other people are doing. In order to know what God wants for us we have to focus on deepening that relationship with Him to get more in tune with Him and what He wants for us in our life. The above verse states that if we do that, focus on God and walk out what He tells us to do, we will never stumble and we will never fail in executing what God called us to do.
