Psalms 19:14

Good Morning!

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my [firm, immovable] rock and my Redeemer.  -Psalms 19:14

The words you speak, the thoughts you think, and what you meditate on determine your outlook on life. If we can align all of those with God we will have a fruitful and meaningful life. This might be easier to do on some days than it is on others. Sometimes things get thrown at us that throw us off balance. Some of that is the enemy trying to get you off balance to where you are focusing on that thing instead of God and some of it is just circumstantial and part of life. Either way, the more we can align with God the better we are in a position not to get thrown off balance. The way to get to this point is first recognize when your words, thoughts, and meditation don’t align with God and slowly and consistently shift them in the direction of God. Then when life throws things at you intended to throw you off balance you have that solid Rock (God) to hang on to for stability. In what area do you need to recognize and start shifting your focus to God?

“When you align yourself with God’s purpose as described in the Scriptures, something special happens to your life.”  -Bono

“Prayer is asking God to align you with His will rather than asking Him to be aligned with yours.”
