Good Morning!

There is no one holy like the Lord, there is no one besides You, there is no Rock like our God. Do not go on boasting so very proudly, do not let arrogance come out of your mouth; for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed (examined).  -1 Samuel 2:2-3

We can’t brag, bluff, or intimidate our way into heaven. God can see right through any selfish and arrogant behavior. I love the wording here and how it says that by God our actions will be weighed. Verse 2 says that there is no one holy like God, there is no one besides Him, and there is no Rock (foundation) like God. When we have the ability to serve a God that is willing to send His own Son down on the earth to die for our salvation, and is the most solid Foundation we could base our life on, why would we want to live life any other way? I think it is important to keep this in mind constantly because Satan is trying every which way to throw doubt, confusion, and distractions our way, to keep our focus on things that don’t matter in the big picture, he is trying to keep us offended instead of forgiving, he is trying to keep us so busy that we don’t think we have time for God and church. Today, rest in the fact that we can serve a God that will fight for us and is the greatest, most Holy, biggest Rock (foundation) in our life and there is nothing that can stand in our way from doing exactly that.
