Good Morning!

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours [with the same physical, mental, and spiritual limitations and shortcomings], and he prayed intensely for it not to rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its crops [as usual].  -James 5:17-18 AMP

How often do we say, “I’ll pray for you” and not really take it serious? Or how many times do we just pray to God and not actually have the faith that the prayer has any strength to it? Like the verse above says, Elijah was a man just like us yet he had the faith, the courage, the relationship with God, and the intentionality that he prayed that it would not rain and it didn’t for 3 ½ years but then when he prayed for it to rain it did. It wasn’t him that controlled the rain but him praying in alignment with God and having the faith that God would answer that prayer. Just because you don’t see things moving from your prayers doesn’t mean they aren’t.

“God has never stopped answering prayers, but He doesn’t always answer them in the way we expect.”

“Our prayers have no expiration date. You never know when, where, or how God will answer.”
